The answer to this question is yes and no. Honestly, it depends on which legend of theshapeshifter you are thinking of or want to discuss. In X-Men, Morph was a shapeshifter and he took on the powers of whomever he took the form of. But, if you look into some of the other myths/lore in history (as a show called Supernatural shows) the shapeshifter gets the memories of the person they have taken the form of. So, I guess you could call it "powers" of a sort. Sometimes the shapeshifter is just that; it takes the form of another being and nothing else. Since we are speaking about superheroes my answer to this question is yes! If the shapeshifter is a superhero himself he will indeed gain the powers of the superhero he/she shifts into.
Superheroes are often used ironically in movies to comment on the genre's conventions and clichés. This may involve subverting typical superhero tropes, ridiculing the idea of superheroes saving the day, or highlighting the absurdity of certain superhero powers and costumes. By using irony, filmmakers can add layers of depth and humor to the superhero narrative while also challenging audience expectations.
