Synopsis

Everyone at Seiyo Elementary thinks Hinamori Amu is the coolest girl in class. But, she's nothing like that. Amu's actually a very shy girl who wishes to have courage to truly be herself. One morning, she found three mysterious, little eggs in her bed. Each egg contains a "Guardian Character". These guardians are angel-like beings that can give a human a certain power to change their abilities. With help help from these Guardian Characters, Amu will discover that her true self is even more amazing than she ever dreamed. Plot The main plot in Shugo chara is to find the Embryo, which is an egg that can grant any wish.

In the end, Easter was defeated, the "shining egg" that was thought to be the embryo was just Hikaru's shugo chara egg, and you find out about why Easter started...for example, Hikaru was missing his egg, so he had a missing place in his heart where his dreams should've been. Therefore, he collected tons of sparkling, pretty rocks to fill up the void. He wanted the embryo because it was shiny, so Easter went after the embryo. Hikaru's grandfather, Hoshina Kazuomi forced Ikuto and Utau's mother to marry him (although she never turned in the documents so when they were divorcing, it was really easy) because their father went missing. Kazuomi realizes his mistakes and makes amends with the Guardians...Tadase goes on telling Amu he loves her, and Ikuto occasionally sends pictures that Yoru takes for him from Europe where he's looking for his father. He makes a promise to Amu saying that he will make her love him or something before he leaves. Ran, Miki, and Su disappear, and Amu looks for them with Dia. Dia shows her the Egg's Cradle (not sure about the name?) and explains its meanings to Amu. Yoru disappears as Ikuto matures, and at Yukari's and Nikaidou's wedding, the missing Ran, Miki, and Su burst out of the bouquet.
