Bleach is an anime About a Boy named Ichigo Kurasaki, who becomes a shinigami, or a death god.

Their job is to protect souls from hollows, and send them to soul society, which is basically heaven.

Hollows eat souls, and they gain rank from eating other souls, untim they become a grande, or something like that, and somewhere along the way can overcome their masks and become arrancar, who have a human form, but a hole somewhere in their body.

Ichigo meets a shinigami named Rukia, and to save them both from a hollow, he has to stick her sword through himself to become a shinigami.

He later meets friends Chad and Inoue, who he gives powers to, having no idea he had that ability.

With a few more friends, they go on a quest to defeat Aizen, a man who wants to destroy the soul king and to do that, must destroy the town where Ichigo and his friends live.
