What makes a superhero?

A superhero is simply someone born with unexplainable and unique powers. They then decide to use the powers they have inherited for the greater good, to help those who may not have powers ( Normal's ).

Superheroes don't necessarily have to have superpowers. Batman, Green Arrow, Robin, Nightwing.. they don't have powers. Anyways, it's not easy being a superhero. Alot of tragedy is in their life. But what makes a superhero a superhero is the fact that they're willing to die for their city.

It depends, but what I would want from a superhero is very adventuristic-type stories with a twist of science, romance, and/or mystery. The super-hero's story and powers should make sense, not just lasers coming from his eyes and he can fly because he's from the planet Kryptonite (sorry, Superman). A more sensible approach to how he got his/her powers is better. However, that is not always necessary. The story should be thrilling, his/her costume should be cool, and both the writers and illustrator should be good. If the costume and how the comic was made isn't good, people will not be drawn to your comic. Well, that's what makes a superhero.
