It's a little complicated because there are two different forms of intellectual property protection that apply here: copyright and trademark.

The trademarks to the Peanuts characters, including Snoopy, are held by PEANUTS Worldwide LLC. You can contact them if you'd like to use the characters to advertise something (MetLife is probably the most famous example in the United States).

The copyrights to the individual strips are held by United Media/United Feature Syndicate. If you want to reprint a strip, you'll need to contact them instead.
