No one person created Marvel Comics, Stan Lee was the editor/writer of many of the stories; but most of the classic heroes & villains came from the artistslike Steve Ditko (largely responsible for Spider-Man), Don Heck, Wally Wood and others. Jack Kirby being the predominant contributor; without his input there would be no Thor, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Silver Surfer, X-Men or many others. Lee helped fine tune the characters, but without Kirby there would not have been any characters to fine tune!
