Well, no. If the car is registered in your name, they will know you own it regardless of wether or not they can find it. If you hide it from them, they will simply file a lawsuit against you for the value of the car. And they will win.
You can tell if a car is reposed by seeing if it is just sitting there. Reposed just means: The act of resting or the state of being at rest.
If they signed a contract with the car dealer and they failed to make payments, then the car dealer or bank who ever has the title is legally entitled to the car for lack of payment. So yest it is illegal to hide a car that is going to be repossessed.
yes
No, unless you try to run and hide the car, and even then not likely. But they can reposes your car, sell it, and you pay the difference in what is owed and what the car sells for, plus repo fees. You credit is also ruined for 7 years. Call the lender and work something out. Do not allow your car to be reposed.
The repo man will get paid on Sunday...
Nothing, but my advise to you is that if your bank rupt you should sell the car
Why would they want to hold it? Perhaps you owe them for towing and/or storage fees for the time that it was reposed.
when a sheriff knocks on your door and is armed with a court order to distraint your car
Yes.
Not likely.
They have no legal jurisdiction over any vehicle not listed on the repo order. They can no more touch your car as they could the presidents limo. Tom Brode
Being out of work does not protect you.
