ITS ON TOP OF THE PUMP.
transfers fuel to injector pump from tank
either the lift pump or the injector pump.the injector pump is very expensive to replace.it costs anywhere from 1800 to 2500 dollars just for the pump.I found someone to rebuild mine for 700 dollars.
in appropriate injector's, clocked injector nozzle's, injector pump diaphram ,(due to dirt fuel)
Lift pump failing and then taking out the injector pump
The fuel pump is part of the injector pump, althoug many diesel vehicles have a separate lift pump in the fuel tank as well.
It is integral with the injector pump on the LH side of the motor
will need recoding
you need a dial gauge which screws into the back of the pump its pretty simple after that.
If the question is how is it delivered ,then this how by transfer pump to the high pressure injector pump then through the nozzles.
An empty fuel tank A defective fuel pump A plugged fuel filter Damaged fuel lines A week injector pump
To remove the injector pump on a 4D32 diesel engine, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Then, drain the fuel system and remove the fuel lines connected to the pump. Unscrew the mounting bolts securing the injector pump to the engine, and carefully pull the pump off the engine, taking care not to damage any surrounding components. Finally, ensure you have a clean workspace to prevent contamination before reinstalling or servicing the pump.
