Yes, in South Carolina, a 5th wheel camper typically requires a tag if it is being towed on public roads. You need to register the camper and obtain a license plate through the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Additionally, if the 5th wheel is used for recreational purposes and is not permanently affixed to a location, it must be registered. Always check with the local DMV for any specific requirements or updates.
Yes, in Alabama, a pop-up camper must be registered and have a tag. The registration process typically involves paying a fee and providing proof of ownership. Additionally, certain weight thresholds may determine if a tag is required. It's advisable to check with the local Department of Revenue or vehicle registration office for specific requirements.
No the HR tag does not need a close tag.
Caravan!! Recreation vehicle? Camper? Motor home? Travel trailer? Tag along? Pop-up?
No! But it does make towing a better experience. Check your owners manual for ratings and tongue weights. IIRC, there will be a difference in tongue weights that are different between tag trailers and 5th wheel/goosenecks. Towing a 7000 lb trailer that uses the receiver hitch will tow a lot better if the same weight trailer is a 5th wheel or a gooseneck trailer.

Normally there is a tag on the road side of the camper giving you the specs on the camper - located at the front of the rv ... about 4"x 4" If it is not there then you will have to look up the vin number which is normally stamped on a plate along the road side tongue of the trailer.
