If not the tractor itself, then it's almost certain the business would have to have some sort of general liability insurance.
In this state you can have 100 vehicles in your barn and none of them need to be insured. You do not need to have a license tag on any of them. You can drive them around your farm all day long and not have any problems. You can even drive your tractor across the road from your corn field to your pasture and it does not need to be insured.
in Canada - 15 to cross a road , 16 to drive on a road.
I would have to say no. I have a tractor that is insured the only thing that is insured is just that the tractor (fire theft etc). Although You can get your trailer insured just as you can an ATV horse trailer car truck if you had a policy for it. your tractor insurance will not help with the trailer.
(in the US) In general it can safely be said that you may operate a farm tractor on the public roads ONLY from farm to field, or field-to-field. You may not use it for 'destination' driving of any type.
Depends on your country laws. I.e In the UK a farm vehicle that has to travel on any road other than that of the land the farm is on will require taxation and insurance to do so.
Generally, if you will be driving the tractor on private land, the adults in your life can make the decision as to when you are old enough to safely drive the tractor. If you are 16 you can take your tractor driving test or if you have passed it then you can then drive it on the road.
Depends...by "diesel tractor" do you mean "farm tractor" or "semi tractor"? You're SUPPOSED only to put off road diesel in a farm tractor. That's why they make it. If you have put it in a semi tractor, get hold of your dispatch/brief/lawyer right away for advice on what to do. If you have a pre-2007 engine your trouble is almost exclusively legal. If your engine is 2007 or 2010 compliant, you're probably going to screw up your EGR and diesel particulate filter, which will break your engine.
Yes, you can as long as your over the age of 13 you are Legal to drive a tractor in city limits of on a highway Added: AND . . . only so long as you are driving it from farm to field, field to farm, or field to field. You cannot drive the tractor on the road for any other purpose or as a means of personal transportation.
The gas mileage of a farm tractor depends on the model, the year, the condition, and the land driven on. There is no set gas mileage to be expected from a farm tractor.
It would depend on farm size. Any farm should have a tractor for day to day operations of the farm. But size matters when choosing the correct type of tractor.
yes u do unless u want to get stoped by the cops
There are many different types of farm tractors out there. You can look in the manual that came with the farm tractor to see how it works and how to maintain it.
