After 2000, if it is a short bed, then 27. A long bed will have 34.

A 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 2 dr fuel tank holds 19 US gallons.
16 gal's small tank 20 gal's big tank
42 gallon which is needed on these gas hogs.
Big job you have to remove the tank I think.
The Fuel Tank is 27 gallons. I've had my 95 Astro van since 2000.
It must be a 42 gallon then, that was the manufactured spec for the large tank.
i on't have a 99 but it should be in the same place as most late model chevy's--driver side, inside the frame rail, inline with the fuel filler. get under the truck and take a look. you can't miss it. its a big gas tank looking thing with a big filler neck hose connected.
The Fuel pump in an electronic in-tank pump. You will have to drop the fuel tank to get to it. This procedure is very dangerous since the fuel tank is very big/heavy in those trucks, and there is electrical components on the fuel pump, I would not do it unless you absolutely know what you are doing. Its best to leave this repair to a qualified mechanic.
According to my 2003 S10 owner's manual, fuel capacity for 2003 S10 crwew cab is 17.5 gals.
