Remove battery, take out battery tray then remove nut on top of pulley take pulley off slide the new belt on then replace the nut
A lawn tractor drive pulley is connected to the engine crankshaft and transfers power to the transmission. As the engine rotates, the drive pulley spins and drives the belts that are connected to the transmission, allowing the lawn tractor to move forward or backward. By adjusting the position of the drive pulley on the engine shaft, the speed and direction of the lawn tractor can be controlled.
To repair the transmission on a Poulan garden tractor, first, ensure the tractor is turned off and remove the battery for safety. Examine the transmission for any visible damage, leaks, or loose connections. If necessary, replace worn or damaged components such as the drive belt or gear assembly. Reassemble the parts, refill any fluids if needed, and test the tractor to ensure proper operation.
To replace the drive belt on a Kubota T1670 lawn tractor, first, ensure the tractor is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Remove the mower deck by disconnecting the necessary pins and belts, then locate the old drive belt on the engine and transmission pulleys. Slide the old belt off and replace it with the new one by threading it around the pulleys in the correct path. Finally, reassemble the mower deck and test the new belt to ensure proper tension and function.
To replace the clutch on a Kubota tractor, first, ensure the tractor is securely parked and the engine is turned off. Remove the necessary components, such as the transmission cover and drive shaft, to access the clutch assembly. Carefully detach the old clutch, clean the mounting surfaces, and install the new clutch, ensuring proper alignment. Finally, reassemble the parts in reverse order and check the adjustment before testing the tractor.
Conventional drive, your drivetrain will be the engine, transmission, transfer case (if 4x4), driveshaft(s), differential, and axles. Hydrostatic drive, it's going to use a hydrostatic transmission and hydraulic motors to drive the wheels.
On a Model 2320 John Deere tractor, the hydrostatic drive shaft is located between the engine and the hydrostatic transmission. It typically runs along the tractor's chassis and connects to the hydrostatic pump, allowing power transfer from the engine to the transmission for driving the tractor. For specific maintenance or troubleshooting, consulting the operator's manual or a service guide is recommended.
