Scania d1254 variant a03p engine no 6510730
The fuel pam timing mark Scania 400 is on the engine.
To replace the tappets on a Peugeot 307 1.6 HDi, first, ensure you have the necessary tools and parts, including new tappets and a gasket set. Begin by removing the engine cover and timing belt, then take off the cylinder head to access the tappets. Replace the old tappets with the new ones, ensuring they are properly seated, then reassemble the engine in the reverse order, taking care to torque all bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, recheck the timing and ensure everything is securely fastened before starting the engine.

Actually "tappets" is a term that has not been used for a l;tong time. Yu are probably referring to the valves or lifters. If you are having a tapping sound coming from the top of your engine, the rockers probably have to be adjusted or there may be a problem with lifters or pushrods.
Engine tappets
To set the tappets on a Toyota 2E engine, first ensure the engine is cold. Remove the valve cover and use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the tappet and the rocker arm. The intake valve clearance should be set to 0.15 mm, while the exhaust valve clearance should be set to 0.20 mm. Adjust the clearance by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjusting screw until the correct clearance is achieved, then recheck and secure the lock nut.
