It’s a piece of heavy machinery with lift arms, powered by an engine, that many different construction related tools can be attached to. It is different from a front loader in that the lift arms are alongside the driver, and because of this, they almost always feature a fully-enclosed cab.
The cab on the 1845C skid steer loader slides forward using a hydraulic system that allows it to pivot on a set of hinges. This design enables easy access to the engine and other components for maintenance and service. The hydraulic cylinders control the movement, ensuring smooth and safe operation when repositioning the cab. By sliding forward, operators can efficiently perform necessary checks and repairs without removing the entire cab.
The lift actuator is mounted to the front of the main control valve. The main control valve is underneath the cab on the right side of the loader. You will see two black things about six inches long sticking out of the front of the valve. The lift actuator is the one on the bottom. You can change it out yourself but the dealer will have to calibrate it with the laptop computer.
Skid steer enclosures can be purchased both online and in retail stores that specialize in large machinery. There are even some that specialize in skid steers and accessories.

To raise the cab on a John Deere 320 skid steer, first ensure the machine is turned off and on a level surface. Locate the cab lift mechanism, typically found on the rear of the machine, and release the safety latch. Use the hydraulic lever to engage the lift function, carefully raising the cab to the desired height. Always ensure that the area is clear of obstacles and personnel when performing this operation.
A wheel loader is a heavy equipment machine commonly used in construction, agriculture, and various other industries for material handling and loading tasks. It consists of several major components or parts, each with its specific functions. Here are the primary components of a wheel loader: Engine Hydraulic System Bucket Operator Cab Wheels
I just towed a 5,900 lbs Bobcat skid loader on a 1,500 lb heavy duty trailer in the Texas Hill Country with my extended cab 1500 Silverado with the 5.3 liter engine and no trailer brakes hooked up. It pulled it but it was about all I would care to pull with that truck and I would not want to pull it far.
The Bobcat Skid Steer Attachment Control Kit is a system designed to enhance the functionality of Bobcat skid steer loaders by allowing operators to easily connect and control various attachments. This kit typically includes a wiring harness and controls that enable the operator to manage hydraulic functions of attachments directly from the skid steer's cab. It improves efficiency and versatility by facilitating quick attachment changes and optimal operation of tools such as buckets, grapples, and augers. Overall, it enhances the skid steer’s performance in various applications.
