the number of people that die in bus accidents per year varies every year, but it is usually around 1800 people roughly
Not sure where the above numbers came from but the latest data available (2011) from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), is 244. The breakdown is:
School Buses 98
Cross Country/Intercity 40

Over a thousand train accidents occur per year in Canada. In 2009 alone, there were 1038 accidents. Almost 50% of these were non-main-track train derailments. Almost 18% were crossing accidents, and these crossing accidents resulted in 19 fatalities.
"According to data from the U.S. Department of Transportation, about 140,215,987,089 fatal and non-fatal truck accidents occur every year, which causes approximately 89,000 injuries and 5,000 fatalities throughout the country." Source: http://www.truckaccidentlawyergroup.com/
This is going to take a lot of calculation. There were 159 fatalities in Maine in 2009, the last year information is available for, but the number of all accidents is not available. We do have the number of accidents (10.8 million) and number of fatalities (35,900) nationwide, which means about .33% of accidents are fatal. If we apply that percentage to the Maine fatalities, we get 48,181 accidents per year, or 132 accidents per day.
Statistically, there are more accidents that happen on holidays than other days of the year. According to recent statistics, a report from 2010, suggests close to 500 fatalities from traffic accidents occurred over Labor Day weekend.

On average, around 41 fatalities occur annually in Lake Huron. The common causes of these deaths include drowning, boating accidents, and other water-related incidents.
Diving board accidents resulting in fatalities are relatively rare but can occur. Estimates suggest that there are a few dozen deaths each year in the United States related to diving accidents, with many more resulting in serious injuries. The majority of these incidents involve improper technique, shallow water, or collisions with the diving board or the pool bottom. However, specific statistics on diving board-related fatalities may vary, and comprehensive data can be challenging to obtain.
