I do not know yet how to remove the air dryer as I cannot see how to remove the air lines from the dryer. I did remove the dryer from the compressor though, by removing a single screw then turning the 1/4 turn and pulling it out of the compressor....so at worst I will be able to put my new compressor in with the old dryer.

To replace the air conditioner compressor on a 2002 Escalade, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal and recover the refrigerant using a recovery machine. Next, remove the serpentine belt, then disconnect the electrical connectors and refrigerant lines from the compressor. Unbolt the old compressor and install the new one, ensuring all connections are tight. Finally, recharge the A/C system with refrigerant and check for proper operation.
