Nope...only1
never heard of a car with 2 thermostats !
I'm assuming you mean "525" as a horsepower rating, and not as a model number, and you're probably referring to the 525 horsepower rated N14. All the Cummins I6 engines use 1-5-3-6-2-4 as their firing order.
you may need 2 to 4 batteries this depends on how the batteries are installed, but at the bottom end it takes 24 volts to turn starter motor
no it doesn't have 2 thermostats. there is only 1 thermostat.
Yes. The 2.4L has two thermostats.
Bad injector O rings if your lucky, bad injector slobbering fuel if your not. Can be a cracked head, very rare. If the exhaust is blowing white you probably have a bad injector or 2.
The 4 cylinder engine does have 2 thermostats.
No
The 2.4L does have two coolant thermostats. The 2.4L does have two coolant thermostats.
The thermostats on a Dodge Avenger 2. 4L are mounted with the plastic water housing on the driver side end of the cylinder head.
No
Cummins is good. Dodge is not. Cummins has always been a good engine. Dodge is lucky to have the contract with Cummins. I have 2 Dodge Cummins (an 1992 and 2006). Both have electrical problems and the transmission in my 2006 isn't great and that's with stock power and only 93,000 miles. The 12-valve Cummins is all mechanical- easy and cheap to get power out of it. The 24-valve Cummins is computerized- have to buy a programmer. The best combination would be a Cummins in a Chevy.
