You can lock it in your garage, but you can't use it that way. If you use it and park it outside he will find it and he will get it.

My dad used to run repo for Mack truck. If the driver added a lock to the door, he took out a window. If he chained the steering wheel he cut the chain or broke the wheel. Only thing it did was lower the price they got for the truck when they auctioned it off. That just made it that much worse for the driver since he still owes what ever the sale of the truck doesn't cover on the loan.

If you thing you can come up with the cash, hide the car indoors and pay it asap.

If you know that you can't come up with enough cash to save it, drive it to them, cleaned and vacuumed and ready for sale. The more it is worth, the better off you are.
