If your 1996 Oldsmobile Achieva isn't starting due to a theft system issue, it could be due to the factory-installed anti-theft system being triggered. Try using the key in the driver's door to unlock it and see if that resets the system. If that doesn't work, you may need to wait 10-15 minutes for the system to reset before attempting to start the car again. If the problem persists, consulting a professional mechanic or referring to the vehicle's manual for troubleshooting steps may be necessary.

The rapid blinking of the anti-theft light in your 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII typically indicates that the vehicle's anti-theft system has been triggered, preventing the car from starting. This could be due to a faulty key, an issue with the ignition system, or a malfunction in the anti-theft system itself. Try using a spare key, ensuring the key is programmed correctly, or disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset the system. If the problem persists, it may require professional diagnosis.

I tried to crank my Deville after having many successful cranks during the day. The electricity would b on, but the engine would not turn over. The message in the message center said, "Ignition disabled due to theft deterent system". Per instructions in manual, I waited three minutes and tried again. No success. Per instructions in manual, I tried another key. No success. Per instructions in manual, I checked the fuses under the hood near the air filter on driver side, fuses looked ok. Still no crank. Now what?
