The chassis frame of a bus is typically constructed from steel or aluminum to provide strength and durability while minimizing weight. High-strength steel is commonly used for its robustness and resistance to deformation. Some modern buses may also incorporate lightweight materials like composite materials or reinforced plastics to enhance fuel efficiency and performance. Additionally, the choice of materials can vary depending on the bus design and intended use.
Weight of the bus will depend on options and chassis used.
VDL Bus Chassis was created in 1990.
The main materials used to make a bus shelter are metal, glass (FOR THE SCREENS) and concrete.
It's a proprietary chassis to that vehicle, manufactured by Freightliner Custom Chassis.
No way to answer without knowing passenger capacity and the chassis it's built on. You could be referring to anything from a 16 passenger bus built on a one ton van chassis to a 44 passenger bus built on a Topkick chassis.
On a 1988 Orion bus, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is typically located on the driver's side of the dashboard, visible through the windshield. It may also be found on a metal plate or label inside the driver's door frame. Additionally, the VIN can sometimes be located on the chassis or frame of the bus. Always check the owner's manual for specific locations as they may vary slightly by model or configuration.

A Class A motor home is constructed on a commercial truck chassis or commercial bus chassis. The front of the motor home is flat and it has large windows. Bus conversions are generally Class A.
All F350 series ford trucks/vans etc. are one ton chassis
That mean the bus can move up 2.4m when moving 10m long
The primary manufacturers are Thomas Built Buses, Blue Bird Bus Company, IC Bus, and there are a couple others. If they use a Freightliner Chassis, they are probably Thomas Built... Thomas Built is a subsidiary of Daimler A.G. (the parent company of Freightliner, Western Star, Mercedes Benz, etc.). The chassis are assembled at Freightliner Custom Chassis in Gaffney, South Carolina, and the bodies are built in High Point, North Carolina. Much of the steel used for the bodies comes from Lackawana, New York. These are the only full line manufacturers, making Type A - D buses, and are also the only ones who manufacture Type B, C,, and D buses. Blue Bird bus company used to use a lot of Navistar International chassis, but now manufacture their own. The chassis are assembled in Fort Valley, Georgia, and the bodies are manufactured in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. IC Bus is a subsidiary of Navistar International, and are the only ones using Interrnational chassis now.
It's Cummins, not Cummings, and we'd need to know if this bus is on a Dodge chassis or if it's on a different chassis.. namely, whether it uses OBD2 or RP1210.
