There are various safety devices and some quite simple, as interlocks which will not permit the machine to start unless the proper sequence of events are followed- in effect an electronic check-list. Of course there are warning signs in and around the cab. ( Vents are blocked do not attempt to start engine) might be an example.( the vents are also called Static Ports which has a nautical sound akin to portholes.) Finally , even if not a law, Cranes and similar machines are usually- and should be equipped with horns or whistles for signalling purposes- This was SOP in Seam days as the steam was available for any Whistle Stops. The big Paralell track cranes used by Koppers Koke up until the seventies had a melodious three-barreled steam whistle up on the cab structure. this had a unique sound not likely to be confused with locomotive whistles as it had a deep, melodious tone. Heads up!

What are used on the crane to warn crane personnel of potent hazards?

There may be built in internal alarms tied into load meters- which measure the stresses on the cable- and thus would theoretically stop the crane if the operator attempted an overdimensional lift. ( these have only been out since the seventies- and many working cranes are a lot older!0- secondly many cranes, including all RR models- especially steam had whistles which could be used in a pre-arranged code to warn of trouble- also used, practically to dispatch dump trucks and freight cars without slowing up the pace too much. Te Big l8-foot Broad Gauge cranes at Kopper Koke had a melodious three-barreled ( Trident, you might say) whistle- used for signal purposes.

Why use a Crane Radio Remote Controls?

While using cranes and heavy machinery, the safety of equipment and personnel is always at risk. Radio remote controls serve as a best solution to overcome this problem. Radio Remote Controls are used in manufacturing, construction and many more industries. EOT Crane control panel are mainly used for to control the cranes. Using this technology, the operator can control the crane easily and avoid accident by using wireless remote control crane. With a crane radio remote Control, an operator can get the possible line of sight when handling heavy equipment. They can operate a crane anywhere. Traditional working method involved risk to operate a crane, But EOT crane control panel increase efficiency and productivity also bring down the costs.
