They should make no noise.
When I drive my Corolla 93 1.8 DX and slow down on a speed bump on a road, I hear a squeaky sound coming from the front and rear shock absorbers/struts. Does my car needs lubrication or oiling in those areas. When there is a pot hole than there is no sound at all. The only sound that comes out is at the speed bumps when car springs/struts shrink or expand. It looks like dryness feeling from those areas. It mostly happens when its cold. It is doing like this since last winter but I didn't had any problem. Its just annoying. Do I need to replace the struts or absobers? or is there any way I can lubricate it? Please help. Thanks
A creaking sound usually is the shocks or struts. It is best to have a mechanic look it over to make sure.
As far as what they sound like, normally you hear nothing unless a shock is broken. There are however warning signs of worn shocks or struts. STEERINGWorn shocks and struts can allow excessive body roll when turning, which affects the vehicle's ability to safely steer around objects in the road. STOPPINGWorn shocks and struts can allow too much weight transfer to the front wheels during braking, which could result in a measurable increase in stopping distance. STABILITYWorn shocks and struts can allow excessive roll, sway and bounce while the vehicle is in motion, which reduces the driver's control.
If this is for a 1989 Mazda 323 with high miles (kilometers) and the sound is a creaking or rubbing sound, chances are good your front struts are worn out and will need to be replaced. If it is more like a grinding sound, it may either be the steering rack or coupling knuckle (U-joint). I suspect the former, because this happened on my car. Replacing the struts, plus lubricating the spring perches with Silicone grease cured the problem. Cheers Malcolm
the struts are replaceable... but not rebuildable. some of the parts from the old struts can be used. struts are just like shocks and will wear out over a period of time. they are not that exspensive and is recommended to let a certified mechanic replace.
You should check the struts.
Java is a platform independent language and is widely used. In java JSP-SERVLET architecture creates over head of response and request object. So to simplify it ,a framework called struts was introduced.Like .net struts is also a framework which is advance version of jsp-servlet archite cture . Struts framework provides functionalities like to include struts tags, jquery.
Replacing the struts with high performance ones can make the car have a lower center of gravity which can cause the car to feel like it is bottoming out. If the struts were replaced with shorter ones the same result will?æoccur.
I know the struts make a noise like something is loose and knocking up and down every time you hit any kind of slight bump or roll over any type of uneven surface it rattles. I hope this help it was the only way I could describe it.
Struts.
Front Rotors can be warped, or bad struts. Had a 90 Camry that steered like a boat on the highway, until the struts were changed.
were the struts put together right? squeek- possible control arm bushings clunk- spring pads "struts", control arm bushings, swaybar links or sway bar bushings, loose steering parts depending at what speed
