it means there is no accident happening...yet
Usually it means Lights & Sirens.
Yes.
Yes - licensed QRS units fall under the definition of ambulance, and are thus considered an emergency vehicle and able to be equipped with red lights & sirens.
You kill someone on the game and wait until the ambulance gets there. When one of the EMT's gets out of the ambulance, u hijack the ambulance an the sirens should still be on and silent. Note: if u turn the sirens off and on again or get out and get back in the ambulance the sirens will still be on but they won't be silent!
This depends on if the emergency signal lights are activated. It should be noted that even with emergency lights and sirens activated, ambulances are not allowed to exceed the speed limits. That said, if the ambulance has a patient in it, but the lights and sirens are not activated, a regular motorist can pass the vehicle but is discouraged from doing so. NO! If you pass it, other people might and the patient might be affected.
If the ambulance isn't using its lights and sirens, just follow normal traffic laws. If it is, you'll need to pull over to the side of the road and wait for it to pass.
When ambulances are responding to a Priority One job (urgent situation) they activate the sirens and warning lights to alert other vehicles to let the ambulance through. The ambulance siren can be set to a variety of different sounds and volumes.
ambulance sirens
No. ALL vehicles are supposed to yield the right of way to emergency vehicles.
Yes. You are required to yield to any emergency vehicle with active emergency indicators (flashing lights, sirens, etc).
Whatever colour they happen to be painted (one can not see the siren usually). I hope you are not confusing the siren (which makes the noise) with the flashing lights (which are blue).
