Land Rover Motor Company is the main automotive company. The Range Rover (and now the Range Rover Sport) are simply models under the Land Rover Marque. Land Rover cars including the LR2 (Freelander 2) and the LR3 (Discovery 3) are maked with "Land Rover" simply because they are different models. In short, Land Rover is the company and Range Rover is a specific model. The difference is just in the various models of cars.
Each car has a different code. You will have to bring your Rover's chassis no to a Rover or ex Rover dealership and they will supply the code for £20. That's what I was charged anyway!
The foreign countries depicted in Cars 2 are Italy and Japan.
The British Leyland Trademark was founded in 1968, but as of 1986 it is now defunct. The trademark was succeeded by Rover Group (defunct as of 2005) and Jaguar Cars. Rover Group was succeeded by Land Rover and MG Rover Group (defunct as of 2005). Jaguar Cars is owned by Tata Motors, as is Land Rover.
