Your serial # is missing some digits...find them all and check out: http://www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.php
Apparently THowell1975 has no clue about the Maytag you have... lol... That series model (A50) was produced by Maytag from 1964 till sometime in the 1970's. You are not missing any digits from your model number. I know this for a fact because I actually own one of these units. It has only broken 1 "belt" in 15 years and Maytag actually still has parts for this washer in stock in their warehouse the last time I checked about 2yrs ago. If you are old enough you may remember the old Maytag commercials where the repair man does nothing because the units never break... well I personally believe that commercial was made because of this washer model lol... It has seen 2 boys through high school sports and the spin drum actually almost dries the clothes. You couldn't pick a better old washer to have!

The Maytag washer model A612 was manufactured in the late 1970s to early 1980s. It was part of Maytag's top-loading washer lineup during that time.

If you phone the Maytag/Whirlpool company (the 1-800 numbers are on their website), with the serial number of your appliance, the rep. there can provide you with the date of manufacture. (I just did that today, turns out my Maytag LAT5000 washer was made in 1992).
i believe around 1998.

The Maytag washer model MVWC425BWO, with the serial number C41633355, was manufactured in Clyde, Ohio, USA. This model was produced in 2016. Maytag is known for its durable appliances, and Clyde has been one of its primary manufacturing locations.
Most washers by Maytag are produced in Ohio. Could also be made in the Oklahoma are. But ALL Maytag appliances are 100% manufactured in the USA.
