If you're in the US, there is no air brake endorsement - a CDL driver must take the written test and conduct their road test in an air brake equipped CMV, or else they'll get a restriction which prohibits them from operating a commercial vehicle equipped with air brakes.
Typically brake systems in cars and pickups have brake fluid, not air in the lines. There should never be air in your automotive break line

If you have air brakes in your truck, they're talking about the air pressure in your air brake system. You should have at least 90 psi before you take off.
