Are you sure it has a fixed orifice tube system? Most heavy duty trucks use a Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) system. In both systems, the metering device (orifice tube or TXV) is located between the condenser outlet and the evaporator inlet.
Where is the orfice tube in a Ford Taurus
orfice is located under brake booster
It's located on a vertical aluminum tube on the firewall. Between the junction of two lines.
The orfice tube is located in the evaporator inlet tube. There is also an expansion valve in the rear evaporator case.
where does orfice tube go show diagram
Most GM's put the orfice tube in the output side of the condenser, near the bottom. Locate the fitting that runs from the condenser to the firewall, open that fitting and the orfice tube should be inside.
It does not have an orifice tube just a compressor and accumulator
there isn't an orfice tube it has an expansion valve which is located on the inlet of the evaporator
that my friend is the tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to the egr valve make...
the orfice tube controls evaporater pressure in your a/c system, it also acts as a tiny filter. in GM cars they are hiding in the small pipe going in to the accumulator against the firewall. it is a silver/aluminum colored can about the size of a Starbucks large coffee cup. you can see where the tube is inside pipe by looking at tiny rectangle shaped dent on pipe. this actually retains the orfice tube in pipe. a/c auto techs usually recommend changing the tube during a/c servicing.
It is located in the inlet side of the evaporator.
The Orphus tube on a 2000 Peterbilt 379 is typically located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the firewall. It is connected to the air intake system and plays a role in the engine's air and fuel mixture. To access it, you may need to remove some engine covers or components for better visibility. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams.
