no, not for a very long time.
Yes they do, although not as commonly as they once did. And now it is most common for younger boys. This and related topics on school uniform are answered in considerable detail on the Historical Boys' Clothing website: http://histclo.com/schun/schun.html
I have a book "Boys' Preparatory Schools: A Photographic Essay" which shows that short pants and knee socks were still very common in the 1980s. I'm less sure about today, but suspect they are still worn at many prep schools.
BUT having just returned from South Africa there are still boys' schools there that insist or allow boys to wear shorts up to school leaving age. There is a boys' school at Stellanbosch where most junior boys and about 60% of the senior boys wear shorts. Maroon blazers, grey shorts, knee socks and black shoes, with white shirts and tie. Very smart, healthy and practical!
The school girl had short red hair and freckles. When I was a school girl, our uniforms had to hit just below the knee.
Yes unless they have uniforms-just not too short
Opinions on school uniforms vary in the community. Some believe uniforms promote equality and discipline, while others argue they restrict self-expression. Overall, it depends on individual perspectives and experiences.
Commonly, for the girl's uniform they usually wear "sailor" outfits that are called "seifuku" in Japan in any possible color. Middle School and high school girls in Japan are given to wear two separate uniforms: the winter uniform and the summer uniform- long sleeve uniform and short-sleeve uniform. For the boy's uniform they have to wear jumpsuits that are usually navy blue. Middle school and high school boys in Japan are also given to wear separate uniforms summer and winter. For summer, Boys wear a white polo shirt and black or navy blue pants. In elementary, kids in Japan usually or don't have to wear school uniform. But the time their in the third grade, they actually have to. Girls wear the seifuku school uniforms and boys also do, too.For the shoes, middle and high school students are required to wear two sets of shoes: brown loafers and indoor shoes that are plain white. That's what students are supposed to wear in Japan!
Commonly, school uniforms are comprised of the following garments:Boys:- Khaki pants/shorts- Polo or golf shirt (Commonly white)- Sweaters, pullovers and/or vestsGirls:- Khaki pants/skirt- french blouse, golf or polo shirt (Commonly white)- Sweaters, pullovers and/or vests
"Shorts" are not short anymore. They are about twice as long as they used to be.
i think so it is easier to get up in the morning if u know what i mean ( you dont have to spend an our picking out an outfit to wear to school the next day) and they some times have short skirts
Capt is short for CAPTAIN in the British Army
School uniforms have not been know to cause many problems if any at all. The only real confirmed issue is that students will chronically complain that uniforms hinder them from expressing themselves. Personally, I go to a uniformed school and I believe there are many other ways of expressing yourself. Not to mention when some say express themselves they mean wear shoulder and spaghetti strap tops, and short shorts, which are not appropriate for school.
Army - traning Army - supplies Navy - size and strength Supply Lines- distance from home morale - reason and will to fight Leadership The British were better trained in their army & its leaders. Years of training. They had great uniforms. The uniforms did make it easy to spot them. haha! British had more money for supplies. British had ships to garner supplies. The British paid their military. The Americans adapted their tactics to fit conditions. The British marched in line making it easy from behind trees to pick them off. The British never adapted to change in fighting. The Americans fought for freedom & had a cause. Short of supplies the Americans learned to use of materials. Americans blocked British ships from docking. American leadership like General Washington inspired troops. On paper, the British should have won but Americans have proved themself to be resourceful.
It can stop some bullying, Kids wont be bullied for the clothes they wear, but they can still be bullied for being tall/short, for how much they weigh, for being nerdy/unpopular, there are many differnt reason for why a kid would be bullied
Some schools have problems with dress codes and equalness of peoples clothing. So uniforms are like equalizers for the people whose clothes are old, or don't fit compared to peoples clothes that are brand new. Also some people might wear shorts to short, or shirts to low so uniformed clothing would prevent that.
