Australian people in the 1890s wore similar clothing to the British and Americans. Men wore shirts and trousers, teamed with waistcoats and perhaps a long coat. Women wore floor length skirts with a slim silhouette, high collared blouses and puffed sleeves. Children always wore small versions of adult clothing.
