For any coin (not just wheat cents) the term "proof" means that the coin was struck from special highly-polished dies and packaged for sale to collectors. Proof coins have a mirror-like surface and more finely-detailed images than normal coins that are struck at high speed from standard dies. Today many proof coins are struck as "satin finish" coins. The portraits or other images are given a fine sandblast finish while the backgrounds are mirrored, so the coin resembles a cameo portrait.
With the date of 1963 the coin is not a Wheat ear reverse, look at the coin again and post new question.
There's no such coin. Wheat cents were made from 1909 to 1958. If your coin has an Indian head design, it's an Indian head cent, not a wheat cent.
Uh, the person whose head is on the front of the coin is Abraham Lincoln, not Wheat. There are 2 wheat ears (just ears, not heads, LOL!) on the reverse side of the coin. In any case, if your coin is worn from circulation it would retail for roughly a dime at most.
Check your coin again. Wheat pennies were made from 1909 till 1958.
Please check your coin again. The last wheat cents were minted in 1958.
If it's circulated, one or two cents. If it's a proof or uncirculated coin, maybe half a dollar. That's wheat, not feathers, and the coin is worth 3 cents.
The wheat design was discontinued in 1958. If your coin has the Lincoln Memorial on its back, it's a circulation issue worth face value only. There is at least one possible 1959 wheat cent known to exist but its authenticity is still the subject of a lot of debate among coin experts. If your coin it has a wheat back but a 1959 date, I'd have it examined by a dealer but my guess is you will find out it is either an altered coin or a fantasy piece made outside of the Mint.
Your coin is called a wheat EAR cent or simply a wheat cent. Please see the Related Question for more information.
If this question is about the coin's value, they're worth about 10 cents. It's not a rare coin.
Please check your coin again. There are only wheat cents, not wheat nickels. Your coin is called either an Indian head nickel or a buffalo nickel; both names are equally common. There's more information at the Related Question.
