I would say boxers if you really want to cover up. Personally, I find boxer shorts unattractive as they cover everything up. I understand is what you want to do but there are other choices of underwear which could enhance your package - and that would be much better than hiding it I reckon. I wear briefs and, yes, I don't really have that big a penis (I'm not ashamed to say that - everyone comes in different sizes). That, however, is one of the reasons I wear them as they gather everything together and make it look like I have quite a bit down there. ;) So if you really must, wear loose boxers and cover up. But I would definitely consider being proud of what you've got and show off a bit with some better fitting undies.

Before he became famous, I did a lot of theater with him. However, while the rest of the guys with this theater group would always change into and out of our costumes in front of each other, with no qualms or shame about the underwear we were wearing (mostly because we all had on neutral-colored boxer briefs or regular plaid boxer shorts) Jake would always duck away into a stall and change in there instead. I never really thought much about it, until one day when we were trying on costumes for a new production. Jake had been given the wrong pair of pants by the costume department. His pants were apparently meant for somebody who wore a bigger size than he did, because when we were all out on stage doing our big dance number, Jake's pants fell right down, and all of us saw why Jake may have wanted to change in a stall and not let anyone see his underwear. He had on a pair of Scooby-Doo boxer shorts, the kind that most guys don't wear once their age has hit double digits. We love Jake and we certainly didn't want to make him feel bad about his underwear choice. If that's what he likes, then that's cool. But it was pretty funny to see a guy his age in such cartoony, childish underpants.

Then, as per baseball tradition, someone grabbed a bottle of an energy drink and doused Joe with it in celebration. However, this was when the festivities stopped. Joe winced and stopped smiling and celebrating...and pretty soon we could see why. When the energy drink got his baseball pants wet, the white baseball pants became completely transparent and see-through. And it was so blatantly obvious to all when looking at Joe's now-transparent pants that he had on a tight little pair of red briefs on underneath them. So, to answer the question, Joe most definitely does not wear boxers. His personal preference is brightly colorful briefs, a secret that he most definitely does not seem to like people knowing about.
