I mailed 5 x 5 inch Christmas cards . most were returned to me , rubberbanded together , saying insufficient postage. I went to my postal annex and they said because they were square they required an extra 15 cent stamp. i asked why only some were returned and they said sometimes the postmaster will let them thru or possibly charge the recipient. Considering the size of regular cards is much larger I feel this is not fair.

The postage required to mail W-2 forms typically depends on the weight of the envelope and the mailing service you choose. For a standard 1-ounce letter within the United States, a First-Class stamp (currently $0.66 as of 2023) is generally sufficient. If you're mailing multiple W-2 forms or if the envelope exceeds 1 ounce, you may need additional postage. Always check the latest USPS rates for the most accurate postage requirements.
