The path that specifies the exact address for the file to which you are linking is called an "absolute path." An absolute path provides the complete details from the root directory to the specific file, including all directories and subdirectories. For example, in a Unix-like system, an absolute path might look like /home/user/documents/file.txt. In contrast, a "relative path" would only specify the location in relation to the current directory.
A line of sight communication medium is one where the transmitting and receiving antennas must be directly visible to each other without any obstructions. Examples include microwave communication, laser communication, and certain types of satellite communication. These methods rely on a clear path to transmit signals effectively, making obstacles like buildings or trees problematic.
The path of egress refers to the designated route that occupants must take to safely exit a building or area during an emergency, such as a fire or other hazardous situations. It encompasses all components, including exit doors, corridors, stairways, and any other means of escape. The path must be clearly marked, unobstructed, and accessible to ensure a quick and safe evacuation. Compliance with safety regulations, such as those outlined in building codes, is essential for effective egress planning.
