∙ 10y agoCirca 1968 Dennis Richie invented the C Programming language which in effect made electrical printed circuit boards into fully fledge computer components. Ken Thomas and Dennis Richie also programmed the Unix operating system which runs 90% of all the worlds computer servers. Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPR) circa 1968, which was a collect of weapons researchers under the leadership of Charles M Hertzfeld. Introduced ARPRnet a network of geographically separated computers and a new protocol called Network Control Protocol (NCP) . NCP free flowing data networks is the foundation of the internet . NCP makes use of parity bits that divide up chunks of data into tranferable parts with a "To "and "From" signature. These Networks kindly pass data without any predetermined route. Inter connecting network and gateways pass data freely. The internet is one huge network of networks.
Circa 1985 Tim Berners-Lee, et al an employee of the Cern institute (European Organization for Nuclear Research) , invents Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) the application layer schema for the internet. The World Wide Web as coined by Dr Roy Fielding is a REST (REpresentational State Transfer) Architectural Styles based on Network- design software Architectures.
