Wired networks, also commonly known as Ethernet networks, are the easiest and most reliable way to connect your computer to a network. Windows XP automatically configures wired networks, and all you need to do is connect your computer to your network equipment using a network cable.
SANs. (Storage Area Networks.)
The easiest way to solve this problem: use a wireless connection. Many recent computers include a wireless NIC (network interface card), and can connect to wireless networks easily, leaving the Ethernet port free. This will only work, obviously, if this computer has a wireless card and there is a wireless network to connect to.If wireless is not an option, purchasing an additional Ethernet card will upgrade the computer to owning two Ethernet ports. One port can be used for the Internet, the other for this external service.
Ethernet is the international standard networking technology for wired implementations. In other words, Local Area Network (LAN).
In a PC there is three pieces of hardware that could give you Network and/or internet connectivity. In most modern computers, the motherboard contains an Ethernet connection, so no hardware installation would be required, except for of course the motherboard itself. You would however how to install the network drivers for the ethernet on the motherboard for it to work. For motherboards without an Ethernet slot, you can buy a PCI or PCI-E network card, which contains an Ethernet port. Lastly, you could get a PCI or PCI-E wireless card, which could give you a wireless internet connection.

The MAC address is the serial number of the network card (NIC). It is used in network communication (for example, in Ethernet networks) as a unique identifier for every computer (and other hosts). The MAC address is the serial number of the network card (NIC). Plug in one end of the Ethernet cables into the computer and the other end into either another computer or into an Ethernet switch with other computers connected the same way. Then set up you network settings according to your needs. Easiest way would be to connect all the computers into a router and have it control the network.
= = Ethernet is a computer networking technology used for local area networks (LAN). It involves wiring computers together alowing them to share information. The ethernet adapter talks other computer hardware to allow data to be seen in more then one place at the same time. Most of your broadband internet connections use ethernet techknlolgy. Computers that are connected to one another are likely using ethernet techknology to comunicate with each other.
Some other types of maps include thematic maps which focus on specific themes such as population distribution or climate patterns, topographic maps that show elevation and terrain features, and cartogram maps that distort the size of regions based on a specific variable like population or economic data.

No, wireless networks tend to be slower than wired networks but they offer more range and you don't need a whole lot of wires. Wireless routers normally have Ethernet ports so you can have a mix of wired and wireless if you desire. The speed difference between the two is barely noticeable, well that's my opinion.
