Depends on the quality and how you treat solar panels. Generally, solar panels normally last from 20-30 years treated well enough, but for 50 years, you need to get a REALLY good quality solar panels. Average solar panels, last for about 20 years. Good panels can last for 50 years, but that is hard.
Solar street lights are raised light sources which are powered by solar panels generally mounted on the lighting structure or integrated into the pole itself. The solar panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night. Most solar lights turn on and turn off automatically by sensing outdoor light using solar panel voltage. Solar streetlights are designed to work throughout the night. Many can stay lit for more than one night if the sun is not in the sky for an extended period of time.
One solution can be resolved by using solar panels as energy source.
" Daryl Chapin, with Bell Labs colleagues Calvin Fuller and Gerald Pearson, invented the first practical device for converting sunlight into useful electrical power."
Since water is transparent it does not absorb sunlight well, however, you could heat the container that the water is in (especially if it is an opaque container, not a glass container) and then the heated container would heat the water. A solar oven can easily produce enough heat to boil water. If you are not careful it might produce too much heat, and melt the pot.
A solar powered car would produce zero carbon dioxide.
Solar panels produce electricity from sunlight. This means that a little less fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) have to be burnt, and a little less carbon dioxide (CO2) is emitted into the atmosphere. So one solar panel helps a little, and a lot help a lot.

Solar energy
Solar Panels are devices that use the sun's energy or solar energy and converts it to electrical energy which is then transferred to appliances. It is an environmental friendly device. It does not produce greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. If you look on with economical views, it saves you a lot of money and is a boon to mankind.
No noise
Wind energy being used in wind mill would not produce CO2 Nuclear power plants would not produce CO2 Hydropower would not produce CO2 Why not? Solar energy in case of solar cells would not produce CO2
Leaves use the solar energy combined with water and carbon dioxide to produce oxygen and sugar, or energy. This process is called photosynthesis.
Solar panels produce electricity (a general statement) which, to be more specific, is electrical energy, measured in watt-hours or kilowatt-hours.
Actually solar energy systems do generate pollution, but the vast majority of that pollution is generated during manufacture not use. This makes containing and limiting the pollution much easier. After approximately 3 months of use, the renewable energy produced by the panels has compensated for the initial pollution. Then the panels produce free, clean, renewable energy with no carbon dioxide pollution.
Solar panels are used to power homes and business's. Solar panels are bundles of wired photovoltaic cells contained in a single block to produce electricity by absorbing the sun's photons.
Solar panels make very much noise when the sun is shining brightly on them and the photo-voltaic cells in the panels give off a form of carbon methane that causes air pollution. The transmitters that convert the sun's energy into electricity also give off harmful gases such as carbon methane and carbon monoxide.
