What is the purpose of soak pit?

A Soak Pit, also known as a soakaway or leach pit, is a covered, porous-walled chamber that allows water to slowly soak into the ground. What is humming in gas turbine?

The formation of combustion oscillations can occur during an operation of a gas turbine burner. This is also known under the concepts of "combustion chamber humming", "combustion chamber oscillations", "combustion-induced pressure pulsations", "oscillating combustion processes". The combustion oscillations are due to an interaction between the quantity supplied per unit time of combustion air/fuel mixture flowing in the flow duct of the burner. The mixture is ignited after entry into a combustion chamber and burns in a flame, with the momentary combustion conversion in the flame. Combustion conversion designates the quantity of combustion air/fuel mixture converted per unit time during a combustion process in a flame. Pressure fluctuations in the combustion chamber, which can lead to the formation of a stable pressure oscillation, can occur due to a change in the combustion conversion. In addition to an increased production of noise, the combustion oscillations cause an increased mechanical and thermal load on walls associated with the combustion chamber and on other parts belonging to the combustion system. Can you shoot a 7.62 cartridge in a 308 rifle?

A rifle with a 7.62x51 chamber can chamber commercial .308 Winchester ammunition - putting military 7.62x51 ammunition in a rifle with a dedicated .308 Winchester chamber is not recommended. Questions regarding your rifle may be directed at the customer service hotline of the manufacturer, as some imported rifles actually do have a 7.62x51 chamber, but must be stamped as .308 in order to be importable as sporting rifles.

Is 223 and 556 ammunition the same?

No. They have matching dimensions, but differ in other areas, such as neck angles. .223 ammunition can be safely fired in a 5.56x45mm chamber; 5.56x45 ammunition is not recommended to be used in a .223 Remington chamber.

No, over time this can damage the spring mechanism that pushes fresh ammunition into the chamber.

What is the cheapest 5.56 rifle?

This is a difficult question to answer, as it is so vague. It will be answered on the assumption that the question is referring to a semi auto rifle with a 5.56 chamber (as not all .223 rifles are capable of firing military 5.56 ammunition). As far as brand new rifles would go, for the US market, your answer would likely be the Saiga .223, variations of which can be found in the $350 - $400 price range, and are capable of chambering military 5.56 ammunition.

Why your Winchester 1903 chambers 22 lr cartridge?

Yes it will chamber, but the rifle will not function properly unless you use the long discontinued & unique "1903 Winchester .22 automatic cartridge". Aquila made a special run of this obsolete ammunition about ten years ago and you can still find it on gun stores shelfs for $12-$15 a box of 50. Google it.
