In a computer, the full form of ROM is Read Only Memory.
ROM chips are found not only in computers; many appliances and even toys contain ROM chips. toys contain ROM chips.
ROM or "read-only memory" cannot be altered. Once a ROM chip or other ROM media is created, it cannot be changed by user-accessable means and is therefore inflexible.
The CD-ROM is a DVD RW type. It is similar to the OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5630A found in the iMac. It doesn't do anything until you insert a disk. It does not have a tray. Insert a compatible disk, and DVD Player will open and play the disk. Other kinds of disks may need players downloaded from the internet such as VLC, or Movist.

If it doesn't open when you double click the icon, then try to first click the icon then the ROM, or the other way around, ROM first then emulator, but if the first way worked then just go to file and click on Open ROM and and then you click on the ROM, and voila! Happy gaming

honestly, its better to replace the whole CD Rom drive.if you have the time to put into it, you can replace it yourself (or repair it with Superglue?if you have the time and energy. it IS a complicated thing to do, so you'd have to find a manual online on how to disassemble the CD Rom drive.
press the spacebar to pass the "one time us" screen then open the file menu and click load, then select your desired ROM and load it
