It spins for one ( at usually 7200 rpm) and writes in a language that involves 1 and 0's(Binary Code) It is a like a rewritable CD but a lot cooler
A hard disk stores data in much the same way as a floppy drive, magnetic pulses are imprinted onto the surface of the disk by a read/write head which can also then read the data back. Hard disks differ from floppies in that the data can be stored in much higher densities and accessed at much higher speeds by using a non-removable disk which is sealed from contaminants. Modern hard disks usually have several disks within them (platters) and dedicated read/write heads for both sides of each. The platters themselves are usually made of some aluminum alloy coated with a thin layer of iron oxide and are very rigid.
A hard disk drive (HDD), commonly referred to as a hard drive, hard disk, or fixed disk drive, is a non-volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces. Strictly speaking, "drive" refers to a device distinct from its medium, such as a tape drive and its tape, or a floppy disk drive and its floppy disk. Early HDDs had removable media; however, an HDD today is typically a sealed unit (except for a filtered vent hole to equalize air pressure) with fixed media.
The same as the way the previous hard disk worked.
You can save your files on the hard disk as an external hardrive, and it works to provide storage.
when any kind of information is received to you in any way weather hard disk or soft disk is known as output device .
Hard disk drive.
Raid 1 suppports the Mirroring if any one hard disk faild one will get the copy of the data and fault tolerent. after replacing the hard disk you have to re create the mirroring. Raid 5 supports stripped with parity the data will be deviced into blocks and stored in all the drives with the parity information. if any one or two hard disks faild the data will be available.
SLEEP
I'm not sure exactly what the question is. If it loads Windows, obviously the hard disk WAS detected. Still, it may be a faulty motherboard or a failing hard disk or a corrupted installation of Windows or something. You may want to get it checked out by calling tech support.
If the computer cannot recognize an external hard disk, it would be virtually impossible to format it. There must be a problem with the hard disk. Consider replacing it or taking it ti where you bought it.
Offline and then Prepare to remove
The data is still there. When you format a disk you're just telling the hard disk controller that the disk is effectively empty and it's okay to overwrite any data that may be on it. This is why "undelete" programs work.
yes because in you do not format the external hard disk you can wipe it clean so if will never work again.
Opening a hard drive can mess it up, if you have no clue what your doing.
A computer hard disk or hard drive (fixed disk) is hardware.
Hard Disk Drive.
IDE hard disk, SCSI hard disk, SATA hard disk, External hard disk, it is also differ by RPM speed for the HADD. I hope that helpes.
There are two types of Hard disk. 1:Sea gate disk 2:SATA Hard disk
The history of hard disk is that, hard disk is invented in 1950's that time hard disk size is 20 inche's maximum the name of hard disk inventer is "REY JOHNSON" by the help of IBM team. ""BILAWAL ABBAS""
IDE hard disk, SCSI hard disk, SATA hard disk, External hard disk, it is also differ by RPM speed for the HADD. I hope that helpes.
1. IDE Hard Disk 2. SATA Hard Disk 3. SCSI Hard Disk 4. Ultra SCSI Hard Disk
