A hardware problem, power failure, or software problem can cause this program to terminate unexpectedly. If this happens, you can restore the drawing files that were open.
If the program fails, you can save your current work to a different file. This file uses the format, DrawingFileName_recover.dwg, where DrawingFileName is the file name of your current drawing.
Resolve Drawing Files
After a program or system failure, the Drawing Recovery Manager opens the next time you start GstarCAD. Drawing Recovery Manager displays a list of all drawing files that were open, including the following drawing file types:
Drawing files (DWG)
Drawing template files (DWT)
Drawing Standards files (DWS)
For each drawing, you can open and choose from the following files if they exist
BackName_recover.dwg
BackName_a_b_nnnn.sv$
BackName.dwg
BackName.bak
Note:The drawing, backup, and recover files are listed in the order of their time stamps-the time when they were last saved.
The activation code of GstarCAD is matched with your computer. You need not to re-import activation code when you reinstall GstarCAD if you do not change hardware or reinstall operating system, except the method of registering update version changes. If you just reinstall operating system, the previous number is still valid, re-import it after installation can make you through. If you change motherboard or hardware, the previous number is invalid, you have to get a new free activation code from GstarCAD.
.dwg is the default drawing format of GstarCAD; at present, GstarCAD is compatible with ever version of .dwg and .dxf files from 2.5 to 2010, it is means GstarCAD is compatible from AutoCAD 2.5 to AutoCAD 2012. If you are using AutoCAD 2013, you have to exchange the file with GstarCAD and save it as earlier .dwg version before 2010. By the way, GstarCAD will be compatible with AutoCAD 2013 soon.
ARX programs which are based on AutoCAD platform cannot run on GstarCAD directly, GRX is for GstarCAD, GRX has high compatibility with ARX, usually, and it can be used on GstarCAD platform after just a little modification.
Yes, GstarCAD has more than 100 functions in Express Tools which are similar to AutoCAD, and some of them are GstarCAD unique features such as drawing compare,GstarCAD tools. All of them help engineers work more efficiently.
Yes, GstarCAD supports AutoLisp, Vlisp, ADS (SDS), VBA, ARX for your own applications. If your Lisp,ADS, VBA, ARX applications are based on IntelliCAD or AutoCAD, most of the applications can be migrated to GstarCAD directly with just a little or no modification.
Fault tolerance
Journaling keeps track of disk changes in a log which can be used to restore the file system to a known state in seconds in the event of system failure or crush or power failure. By: Hussein Abtidon
Durability is the part of recovery system ,it has response to recover the failure data,it also comes under transaction managment

GstarCAD Standard includes the function of 2D plane drawing. GstarCAD Professional adds 3D and dynamical block functions on the base of Standard version; Academic version includes all the functions, but there are watermarks on printings and the size of drawings are limited.

The opposite result is a failure to recover, or languishing. The failure to continue (medical) recovery is a relapse.
Quick Multiple Files Save is original save style which is created by GstarCAD. It is also called "Auto and timely backup system" This save style make it possible to record the use's drawing process and can restore the latest drawing when power failure or terminating program. Auto backup system use an original file format (suffix is dwh) which is a new vector drawing format created by GstarCAD. Compared with dwg file it creases the auto backup speed. For example: the backup speed is about 1 second if the file size is within 10M. this make timely backup system be at real time(such as: make a auto backup each 5 minutes)
