Break the wire down into smaller segments and put a few repeaters on it. Put one at every 250ft interval. According to the 'manual', you only need one every 300ft but I find 300ft can be a bit pushy. At least with the 250ft if you ever have problems, your not going to be suspicious of the wire being too long and can save you alot of bother whilst troubleshooting later on.
