Your first born child with the duck Princess, Lady Ella, must be sacrificed without her knowing. You must eat him to acquire his genes. After you acquire his genes, you will grow wings and a bill. Also the power to breath underwater; don't ask me how, you just do. After you get those traits, form a team of ducklings and dig, dig down. Dig down a lot.
