OS/2 was developed by Microsoft and IBM before NT was developed. No doubt discoveries made by the Microsoft side while OS/2 was under development went into NT when Microsoft developed it. I've seen programs state compatibility between OS/2 and the Win 9x line of operating systems along with NT4.
Mac doesn't come with any built-in solution to handle wmv files. However there are few third party software and components that can be installed to solve this. Since wmv is a Microsoft Windows format, the best solution is to install the 'Windows Media Components for Quicktime' which will allow you to play wmv and wma formats directly from Quicktime. Link to install this software component and all relevant details is given below (Under Sources and Related Link below) Play it with VLC player or Flip4Mac, or Convert your Videos for Mac with Daniusoft Video Converter for Mac.
if you mean how to remove the other version of windows from your boot list then this can be done in control panel, got to system, under the 'advanced' tab click on 'start-up and recovery', then click on edit, and delete the offending line from the text file that appears. they appear here in the same order they appear at boot time. once this is done simply deleting the windows folder from your d drive will work fine. if you reformat the d drive there is a chance your boot list may die. if this happens stick your xp CD in drive, and select repair windows using recovery console. the 'fixmbr' command will correct your boot sequence and all will be removed.

There's a couple of options; you can download an upgrade from Microsoft that will upgrade Windows XP, Vista or 7 to Windows 8. Usually this is a DVD burnable ISO, but it's also possible to download a version for booting from USB stick, Microsoft also sells DVD copies of the operating system. The upgrade program checks the devices installed and notifies you which will not work under windows 8 - usually these are things like USB 3 drivers (which aren't required for Windows 8) or Security Essential - which is built-in to the OS now. If you upgrade from Windows 7, your existing applications and data will be kept, for earlier versions you'll be obliged to re-install everything. To install from scratch, the procedure is very similar - you'll need a different (and more expensive!) key to install Windows 8 onto a fresh machine.

To play a PC game on a Mac you can either buy a Mac version of the game, Install Windows on your Mac and play the game under Windows instead of Mac OS X or use Cross Over software (see link below).
