How do you lock someone's computer?

go to control panel, head over to security or whatever its called, create a password and username and make yourself administrator. Now whenever you log in you will need your username and password to log on.

Use passwords ! Most programs will allow a user to set a password on a document, spreadsheet or database.

It's also possible to save files in encrypted form.

You can R click on the folder or file you want to lock, and then click Properties in the menu. You can password protect the file in properties window.

You can also use 3rd party software to password protect the files on a computer, such as 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org), or Folder Protector (http://www.kakasoft.com/folder-protect/).

your own or someone else's? not a good idea to lock someone else's (unless they asked you to). Also, to answer this question, we need to know what kind of computer you are using.

In most versions of windows, press (windows key)+L

alt control delete, all at the same time then select lock and a password will be required to access it again
