Lower the DVD screen into playing position, and locate the four recessed bolts. Remove these bolts. Next, use a large flat head screwdriver or pry bar to gently remove the assembly from the mount. To do so, place the screw driver or pry bar between the side of the DVD player and the ceiling, and slowly work it down away from the ceiling. There are three retaining clips that must work their way out of the mount. Remember to have one hand underneath to catch the assembly when it works free.
Once free, disconnect the wiring, and you are done.
This worked for me, but I am not a professional and cannot guarantee universal application.
No, a dvd device is either a DVD player, or a DVD drive on a computer.
you could take apart a PC and sotter together the main plug in wires to the side of the DVD player.
where can i find a Emerson DVD player at. model. ewd7001 trusurround.
No. A blue ray disc has a blueray laser to read the HD disc. Also a blueray player needs a spinning reader to read the blueray disc. The spinning reader is also what is used to read DVD's and therefore will read DVD's. A DVD player does not need a blueray laser because the disc can be read without one. If you want a movie in HD but you don't want to buy a whole new player, you can buy a HDVD (HD DVD).A normal DVD player will read that.
The DVD player is good because it allows you to watch movies and listen to songs..Well most of the DVD players....It is also useful...Useful to watch dvds through if you don't have a DVD drive in your laptop or computer to watch them with. It is used for peoples entertainment too. You should be able to get sound from the radio. Mine is set on channel 89.5 FM. When the DVD player first turns it should say on the monitor.
Most Ford Expedition DVD players use wireless headphones for the sound from the DVD player. They are usually stored in the seat back pouches in the driver and passenger seats. If you don't have the headphones you will have to get them from the manufacturer of the DVD player. Hope this helps.
incase there is a problem with the DVD or player

How do you remove jammed DVD's from a subaru forrester 2003 model? A: First you will need to check if the DVD is hanging out of the drive, If it is just pull the mother f*ck*r out. If it isn't grab a sledgehammer and smash the s**t out of it until you can reach it.
Remove the trim ring on the front of the DVD housing by gently prying the ring off. There are two clips on each side of the ring. Un clip the connectors attached to the 2 power outlets and set the trim ring aside. Remove the DVD player unit by removing the 2 #7 bolts at the front of the unit and then remove the electrical connector and set the DVD player aside. You now will have access to all 4 #7 bolts that attach the housing to the vehicle structure. Remove all 4 bolts (2 at the bottom and the 2 that were behind the player unit). You can now remove the DVD housing allowing access to the 2 #7 bolts that are behind the cup holder tray. You can now proceed with the procedure described for removing the radio from vehicles that have the lower storage unit in lieu of the factory DVD player.

you need to purchase infared head phones. That is the only way to hear the DVD. YOu can buy them from ford (expensive) or look on line, the range in $ from 20.00 to 100.00. You shouldn't need to program them, they will just receive the signal as soon as the DVD is started. They must be infrared type head phones.
Try Ebay or the dealer.
