- A computer with a composite video card installed. (A laptop will not have one.)

- A converter box for converting the SVGA signal to something else that a television can handle, such as composite video, S-video, or component video. (Such boxes are available at Radio Shack and elsewhere for about $100.)
The computer's VGA (SVGA) video output and the television's composite-video (RCA yellow) input are so different that there is no simple cable conversion. There is no software that would cause the computer to output analog NTSC video onto the VGA port.
