How do you get more video memory for your personal computer?

Add RAM! Up to the limit that your motherboard can support. Open the case, remove the old, smaller memory card, plug in a larger memory card that is compatible with the OLD memory card. You add more RAM. The motherboard on your computer has sockets to take RAM. There are different types of RAM so you need to get the right version. There is a limit to the size of the RAM that your Motherboard can support, and that varies from machine to machine. If you don't know the details take it to a computer shop and get them to upgrade it for you. They'll be able to tell you what type it takes and how much you can put in.

How can one create a disk image recovery package for their computer?

Really, the easiest way is to just dump everything on your computer onto a CD or memory box. CD's will generally not be large enough, so try and find a large memory box. My friend has a 1 TB box; that's 1 terabyte (1,000,000,000,000 MB) of memory--more than enough (the average computer has at the most a few GB of memory). If you relay want recovery disks contact the computer manufacturer.

How do you format a 2.0 GB SanDisk to download the pictures from it.?

You don't. If you do format it you will delete everything on it, including your pictures. I am assuming you have a USB-memory with pictures from a camera? If this is the case the pictures are saved in a lossless format and are usually not viewable by basic programs like Paint etc. Either way: Attach the memory stick to your computer. Go to "My computer" and then into the memory stick. If it does not appear there you may need to refresh the window and wait for the computer to find the memory or install the drivers for the memory so that the computer can see and access it. Once accessed you should find files and or folders. Find out where the pictures are, can be one large file containing several pictures. Google the file extension to find out what software you can use to access the file.

You inserted your sony memory stick into your the slot on your PC but nothing happens How do you access the photos on your Memory Stick onto your PC?

Once you insert your memory stick, look for an icon on your desktop called My computer. Or where your different drives are listed. Look for a drive that has a letter that is not drive C. Sometimes it will be E, F, or G, but not always. Click on the drive icon and that is usually where you find your pictures. If you can not find your drive file along with your other drives, it is possible you have to go to the memory stick website and download something called a driver.

How do you transfer pictures to a memory stick from my computer?

First insert your memory card into the apropriate memory slot in your computer. If your somputer is not equiped with a built-in memory card reader you must purchase a memory card reader from any local electronics store, these are usually pluged into an existing USB port on your computer. Using windows operating system click on the start button. Now click on my computer, open whichever folder contains the photos that you wish to transfer. Next select the first photo that you would like to transfer to your memory stick by clicking the left mouse button once. if you would like to select more than one photo you can press and hold the CRTL key and left click all of the additional files you would like to transfer to your memory stick. Now open a new window by clicking start button and opening a new window for my computer. Once your memory stick is pluged into the computer you should see a new drive option come into the window. (for example it maybe drive G:, H:, I:, J:, K: and so forthe) Now Resize each of your windows so that they are side by side. now the window with your files selected you left click on one of the files you have selected and have highlighted and you will drag them over to the window that you have opened for your memory stick. Windows should automaticaly copy the files and move "paste" them to the window with the memory stick. this may take some time depending on the size of the photos and the amount of photos you wish to transfer. Once transfered you will be able to remove the memory stick from your memory card reader. Now the memoiry stick has all the pictures saved in it interal memory. I hope this has answered your question...

How do you find out what kind of memory you are using?

Open your case and you will see a long stick. On each end there will be a release. Gently pull the release back to pop out the memory stick. On there will be some numbers similar to pc133 or pc100. Write that down and take it with you. The memory just pops back in but only 1 direction. Be very careful while inside your computer and always unplug it.
