Proxy is ised to hide internal network IP addresses from external network. In this way you are protected from hacker attacks, as far as proxy is not "cracked". If you have proxy firewall then it's even better because it's not only hide internal IP addresses, but also protects ports from attackes.

∙ 9y agoProxy servers usually are used to evade website blocking software on a network. Though they are also used to hide the origin of a server. It bounces the individuals single around to other locations usually overseas.
