Enabling your online album to work with PicLens is a simple procedure which involves 2 steps: Step 1: Create a photos.rss feed. Create a new text file called photos.rss, which you will have to upload to the same location your page(s) with the thumbnails reside(s) on your server. In this file you need to add links to each picture you wish to show in PicLens. The contents have to look like this: A.jpg pl_images/A.jpg B.jpg pl_images/B.jpg C.jpg pl_images/C.jpg The above example creates a feed for 3 images, named A.jpg, B.jpg, and C.jpg. In order for your album to work with PicLens you must include an item for each of your pictures. The tag specifies the name you will see in PicLens. The tag specifies the location (relative to the photos.rss file) of the full size picture. The tag specifies the location of the thumbnail The specifies the location that will be opened when the user clicks the 'globe' symbol for this picture. Step 2: Enabling RSS autodiscovery. On you page(s) with the thumbnails, you need to add the following tag to the header section, i.e. somewhere between the and tags. This will allow the browser to discover the RSS feed on your website. Alternatively, if you created your online album with a tool like iPhoto or similar, you can use "PicLens Enabler" (for Mac and PC) to automatically create photos.rss for you and also automatically add RSS autodiscovery to your HTML pages. Detailed help is available via the "Help..." menu. "PicLens Enabler" can be downloaded here: http://freeware.the-meiers.org
