They both transmit information, and they both have a memory that can grow. Computer memories grow by adding more data chips, and brains form stronger synaptic connections. Both of them have also evolved over time, although computers have evolved much faster than the human brain. They both need energy. The brain relies on nutrients, and a computer requires electricity. Both of them can also be damaged, and modified. Both of them also contribute to working out mathematical equations and other logic based tasks.
However, unlike a computer, the processing speed of a brain is not fixed. The hardware-software distinction between the mind and the body is less distinct than that between a computer and its operating software. The brain is also known to be conscious, and have the ability to learn. Engineers are still trying to develop the Artificial Intelligence of a computer to this level. The human brain is also significantly larger than any computer in existence currently. An accurate model of the brain would need to include some 225,000,000,000,000,000 interactions between various parts. There is no computer today that can process this much information. However, these things may change in the future.
